Or: Twitter is to MSN Messenger (ICQ, Y!, AOL, etc) as identi.ca is to XMPP.
I guess I didn't like Twitter's walled garden, or the fail whale, after all. So identi.ca came along at the right time. Start following me there or grab the union of my feeds over at whoisi.com
